The customer had a big need to replace their old gear units from the 1970s. After a visit from Jens S. we could present new gear units with the same dimensions, for a smooth drop-in solution. We could also identify multiple modifications made by the customer, to make the gear units fit their application.
Upon delivery of the new gearboxes Jens S. has added the following modifications to make things easier for the customer:
– Forced lubrication system removed
– Upper bearings converted to grease lubricated
– Oil sight glass removed
– Oil level plug on the cover of the second shaft
– Oil drain plug on both sides of the housing for easy service
– Flange on input for cardan shaft according to DIN 250
– Protective housing with grease pocket on input shaft to protect the seal from dust and debris
The gear units are now ready for many years of service and the customer don’t have to waste any time making their own modifications.
